Ich kann nur zwei Links anbieten: Einer ist EIKE, eine Organisation, die einen Offenen Brief an Kanzlerin Angela Merkel verfaßt hat, den man mitunterzeichnen kann. Merkel ist eine führende Erwärmungsphilosophin in Deutschland. Ursprünglich ist sie Physikerin, doch muß bezweifelt werden, daß sie jemals etwas über die Physik der Atmosphäre gelernt hat, die ein völlig anderes Gebiet ist. – Es gibt zwei Hauptdifferenzen zwischen EIKE und mir: Erstens meinen sie, man sollte die „Experten“ beim IPCC durch bessere „Experten“ ersetzen. Für mich bedeutet das, eine Pseudowissenschaft durch eine andere zu ersetzen. Warum nicht gleich eine Wahl abhalten und das Volk entscheiden lassen, wer die besten Experten sind? – Ich meine, wir sollten aufhören, Türme zu Babel zu bauen, und einsehen lernen, daß wir nicht Gott sind, daß es Grenzen unserer Erkenntnis gibt, und daß die Zukunft der Erdatmosphäre weit, weit jenseits dieser Grenzen liegt, was ihre komplexen Eigenschaften (Wetter und Klima) betrifft (das war z.B. anders beim Schutz der Ozonschicht, der die Komplexität nicht berührte!). Zweitens scheint EIKE mehr wegen der Freiheit als wegen der Atomkraft besorgt. Sicherlich ist die Vorstellung einer Klima-Weltdiktatur, bei der Klima-„Experten“ in demokratische Entscheidungen hineinreden, erschreckend, doch können Diktaturen jederzeit gestürzt werden, während unser Atommüll viele tausend Jahre erhalten bleibt, und wir Tausende von Generationen dazu zwingen, auf ihn aufzupassen, ihn zu verwalten und ihn vor Naturkatastrophen und Terroristen zu schützen.

Ich muß gestehen, daß ich beide Websites nicht gründlich genug erforscht habe. Wahrscheinlich enthalten beide weitere Links.

Obwohl diese Websites zweifellos sinnvoll sind als Gegengewicht zu der offiziellen Propaganda, die täglich über uns ausgegossen wird, machen sie teilweise denselben Fehler wie die Erwärmungsphilosophen, indem sie wissenschaftliche Inhalte rhetorisch und argumentativ diskutieren. Aber diese philosophische Methode verträgt sich nicht mit Naturwissenschaft. Statt dessen muß eine Theorie an der Natur bewiesen oder widerlegt werden, denn die Natur ist der „Chef“. Die CO2-Treibhaustheorie – angewandt auf die komplexe freie Atmosphäre – war von Anfang an Spekulation; sie kann niemals bewiesen werden, und die heute vorliegenden empirischen Daten legen nahe, daß sie falsch ist. Überlegungen bezüglich des Grundes dafür sind wieder reine Spekulation, und, sofern nicht als solche ausgewiesen, Pseudowissenschaft. Damit sind die genannten Websites bis zu einem gewissen Grad auch pseudowissenschaftlich und philosophisch, nur in der entgegengesetzten Richtung zu der der Erwärmungsphilosophen. I can only offer two links. One is EIKE, a German organization who wrote an Open Letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel which can be cosigned. Merkel is one of the leading warming philosophers in Germany. Originally she is a physicist, but it’s doubtful that she ever learned anything about the physics of the atmosphere, which is a completely different field. – There are two main differences between EIKE and myself: Firstly, they think the “experts” at the IPCC should be replaced by better “experts”. To me, this means replacing one pseudoscience by another. Why not hold an election and let people decide who the best experts are? – I think we should stop building towers of Babel and learn to realize that we are not God, that there are boundaries to our knowledge, and that the future of Earth’s atmosphere is way, way beyond those boundaries, as far as its complex properties (weather and climate) are concerned (this was different, e.g., with the protection of the ozone layer, which did not touch the complexity!). Secondly, EIKE seems more concerned about freedom than about nuclear power. Certainly the notion of a climate world dictatorship where climate “experts” overrule democratic decisions is frightening, but dictatorships can be overthrown at any time, while our nuclear waste stays for many thousands of years, and we force thousands of generations to watch and maintain it, and to protect it from natural catastrophes and terrorists.

I must admit that I didn’t explore either website thoroughly enough. Probably on both more links can be found.

While these websites certainly are meaningful as a counterweight to the official propaganda pouring on us every day, they in part make the same mistake as the warming philosophers, by discussing scientific contents in a rhetorical and argumentative manner. But this philosophical approach is incompatible with natural science. Instead, a theory has to be verified or falsified on nature, which is the “boss”. The CO2 greenhouse theory – as applied to the complex free atmosphere – was speculation all along; it can never be verified, and the empirical data available today indicate its falseness. Deliberations about the reason for this are again pure speculation and, if not declared as such, pseudoscience. So to some extent the aforementioned websites are pseudoscientific and philosophical too, only in the opposite direction to that of the warming philosophers. (See also “Questions and Answers”.)
